We
started our day in Cody by doing some shopping and found a little
local favorite Our Place for brunch. We traveled from Cody to
Gillette, Wyoming today by way of the Bighorn Scenic Byway US 14 from
Greybull to Sheridan through the Bighorn National Park. On the drive
through the mountains we stopped at Shell Falls and saw Sibley Lake.
We got on I90 and made stops in Sheridan and Buffalo before stopping
for the night in Gillette. We checked-in, got dinner and ice cream.
All-in-all today was pretty low key. We have a lot planned for July
4th so hopefully we have ourselves organized and ready.
We
could not help but notice that the dots on the map are smaller out
here than we are accustomed. For example, Emblem, Wyoming's sign had
a population of 10. It made our atlas and has its own post office.
It might have been the only “town” between Cody and Greybull.
